This week has been a good one. I’m really enjoying my time here in Bintulu. The time is really flying by. I can’t believe this week is the 5th week in the transfer.
We didn’t have very many lessons this week and we didn’t find very many potential investigators. We were hoping to meet with a lot of people, but I think we weren’t the best at scheduling them beforehand and we dropped some of our investigators because we think they’re avoiding us and we can’t contact them. Sadly, we only had one investigator at church this week. He’s doing great though. He should be baptized on the 7th of May. One investigator had to stay home because his parents wanted to watch the house, and our other family of investigators were sick and the husband had to work. I’d say they’re all progressing towards baptism though.
This week should be really awesome. We’re still working on building the foundation of Bintulu. This Sunday, we should have a counsel meeting to see what we want to do (we have an idea, but we want more people involved in the decision making than just us).
This week we spent a lot of time getting ready for English class. We had some success advertising at a night market. A few of the people we met there came to English class and they said we should share with them about the gospel! They said they’d come to church next week. It turns out one of them is friends with one of our investigators! Yay for miracles!
Lately, I’ve been working on evaluating myself each day on how I’m doing. I evaluate myself on a lot of things. It’s kind of hard to do, but I think as I focus on doing that better I should find some more specific ways of how I can improve. I’ll try to set specific goals that I can do at certain times of the day.
We’re definitely going to have to see some miracles to obtain all our goals this week. I know we can do it. I’m excited.
Thanks for reading 🙂
