Hello Everyone!

This week was really fun, but we didn’t have very much success. We had a little rough start at the beginning of the week. We didn’t talk with everyone at the start and as the week went on we got better at it. Sadly, we didn’t have any lessons with investigators, but on the bright side week we improved at keeping in contact with our potential investigators. We hope we can meet with them this week.

We went to a couple parties which were pretty fun. One involved a lot of singing. A sort of potential/friend of ours invited us to his house. He’s Catholic and had a lot of friends there. We met a lot of people from other churches. We also met a really nice Baha’i family (Baha’i is a religion, you can look it up if you want). They invited us to their daughter’s birthday party, which we went to on Saturday. They live in our apartment complex.

We also had lunch on New Year’s day with Brother *** from our branch and his family (his older sister *** and his mother) at a restaurant at a hotel that Chelsea worked at. It was really good. It was a buffet, the first one I’ve seen in Malaysia (besides steamboat). We were all really stuffed afterward.

Those were all really fun, but may have not been the best use of time.

Other things happened, but we didn’t have enough time.

We have some baptisms we hope will occur soon. I plan on going on exchanges with the other elders this week. Hopefully I’ll be able to interview *** for his baptism.

Sincerely,

Elder Maxwell Wimmer
