Hello Everyone!

This last week went pretty well, despite the fact that we had to move from our house to our new apartment. We started cleaning and packing on Monday and finished on Wednesday night. We moved into the Mah’s apartment. The Mahs went back home and the lease for our house is up at the end of this month so we moved to their apartments. It’s smaller, but still nice. We are still getting used to the new apartment.

The zone leaders from JB came on Friday. I really enjoyed going on exchanges with Elder South. It was like a family reunion (he trained me and Elder Geilman was my second companion in the field). I feel like they really helped us raise our vision for Melacca. Melacca is really a great place. It has a lot of potential. My views towards Melacca have changed. At first I thought it would be harder because there are less Chinese people, but as I’ve been trying to talk with everyone, I’ve realized that every area has potential.

My faith towards talking with everyone continues to grow. We found quite a few potentials while the zone leaders were here for exchanges. I hope Elder Li and I will be able to follow their example of talking with everyone. I’d say it was a miracle that even though we spent half the week moving houses, we still found 18 potential investigators. Our goal for this week is to find 30 potentials. I think we can do it. We’ll just have to work hard.

We only have a couple investigators. We dropped one. We have a lot of potential investigators. We just need to contact them.

Today we got the news for the mini transfer that will happen this week. I forgot it was going to happen today. Elder Weston will be leaving to serve in Klang (KL) and Elder Sasser will be going to Bintulu (East Malaysia). They’re “whitewashing” two elders into Melacca. Their names are Elder Tessers and Elder Jackman. They were previously serving in the Masai district in JB. I already met them at our last zone meeting. They’re really cool, I really like them. Elder Jackman. He life-guarded with me at the Daybreak pool. He went to Riverton High School. He just finished his training last transfer. Elder Tessers started in Kuching. So I saw him when I served in Kuching. He’s 1 transfer behind my new group. He’s a really good elder. I’m excited for our new district. We’ll see if it changes in a couple weeks when we have our big transfer. I’ll try to help Elder Tessers and Elder Jackman get used to Melacca.

This week should be good. I can’t wait for Christmas. We’ll start caroling at the end of the week. Then next week, we’ll go to Singapore for our Christmas mini-zone conference. I don’t know if we’ll do anything fun today. We’ll probably just go downtown and go sightseeing.
