Hello Everyone!

This last week was really great. We tried opening our mouths more and because of that, we’ve had more success. We’re witnessing miracles and I feel like the work is really starting to move forward.

P-Day was pretty fun. We went to the downtown area of Melacca. It’s really cool. We just went in all the souvenir shops. After we contacted people, which didn’t really go very well.

Tuesday was pretty uneventful, but don’t worry the week gets better.

On Wednesday, we just went contacting again. Still no success. Woohoo!

Oh yeah Thursday was also uneventful. Haha

Friday was when it started picking up. We received 1 referral from a member and found 4 potential investigators. We went to an awesome area. The people were really willing to talk to us. A lot of miracles occurred. One was that a woman and her daughter just drove up next to us while we were talking to a lady in front of her house. They asked us where we were from and said they wanted to come take a look at our church. They’re from Kuala Lumpur. They’ve lived in Melacca for 2 years so they said they’re still fairly new and they don’t have very many friends, but we told them we’d be their friends! We’ll be meeting with them this Wednesday. Friday was a good day, well not that the other days weren’t, but Friday was better.

On Saturday, we found 2 potential investigators and had one recent convert lesson. A young man from our branch came with us, the lesson was alright.

Sunday was awesome. After church, we met with an awesome family who was referred to us by our branch president and his wife. They are very prepared to receive the gospel. The son is 17 years old and has been trying to preach Christianity to his friends who are Buddhist. The family is really willing to read the Book of Mormon and to pray about it. They’re really great. It was the first time I’ve taught the Restoration in a long time (because I didn’t teach it while I was at home). They became new investigators and it was great. We’ll be meeting with them this Wednesday.

Right now, I’m in Johor Baru. We’re having our zone meeting tomorrow. I’m so excited. Today, we’re planning on going golfing, which I’m not good at, but I’m sure it’ll be fun.

Preach My Gospel and the scriptures aren’t lying when they say if you open your mouth, it will be filled. I’m still working on always opening my mouth. I feel like it will always be a struggle for me. I’ll have to continue trying, but I know if I do, God will bless me.

Things are happening here in Melaka. I’m really excited for this week. Thanks for reading my update. Don’t forget to have charity this week. I’ve realized the importance of charity on my mission. You can’t do things for selfish reasons. When you truly do things to help others you will have the most success.

Sincerely,

Elder Wimmer
