Hello Everyone!

This last week was great. I love serving in Kuching. It’s a great city. Our area is really starting to progress. We’re starting to teach more investigators and we’re teaching more lessons each week. Here’s a day to day update of my week.

Monday – We met with our new investigator named G**. He’s really cool. He’s the same age as me. He fixes air conditioners for work and is a competitive biker. He has training every day. He’s pretty accepting of everything we teach, he’s just learning slowly, but he’ll get there. This week we hope to put him on date for baptism.

Tuesday – We had a good district meeting. I helped give part of the training, it went well. We had a good discussion about working with less-active members. Later we met with our investigator Mr. C**. He’s really old. We think he understands what we’re teaching him. He says he wants to be baptized, but we’ll see.

Wednesday – We met with our investigators J** and J**. We taught them about Enos. J** is in the process of praying about the Book of Mormon. We just stressed that he had to really had to have the desire to receive an answer to his prayer. I believe he’ll eventually get an answer.

Thursday – The only interesting thing we did was we went to 2 really nice Indian food places, one for lunch and one for dinner. I’m growing to really like eating Indian food.

Friday – Exchanges! I went on exchanges with Elder Ee. He came to our area and it was really fun. Elder Ee is from Kuala Lumpur. He’s Chinese and he’s super funny. We had a good day. We visited a recent convert named Brother T**. He’s old and really funny. He doesn’t do anything besides sleep. We just visit him to keep him from not going insane, though he is kind of crazy. After we visited a members wife named R**. She’s the nicest lady, but sadly she doesn’t come to church. Hopefully she’ll start coming now. Later we met with an investigator name V**. He has a great moustache (if you like them). I personally think his is gross, but Elder Durrant likes V’s. Our lesson went pretty well. V** is a little crazy, but he’ll eventually progress.

Saturday – We met with our investigator named A**. We’re still teaching him about prayer. He’s progressing really slowly. He’s really nice though and he’s come to church once. We hope to start meeting with him mom, who’s usually there when we teach him. We also met with Mr. C** again. We taught about the Plan of Salvation. He was kind of dozing off during the lesson, but hopefully he remembers something. Our lesson went well. We had steamboat with Pres. T** for his birthday. That was fun. I had a lot of ice cream.

Sunday – Our appointment fell through with a less-active family and our investigator named Y**, but we did have Laksa at President Teo’s house. Laksa is a noodle dish. It’s sort of like a soup. I guess you could call it a gravy, but it’s more like soup.

Monday – I got my hair cut. It looks alright, but the kind of messed up in the back.

Well there’s my weekly update. Thanks for reading. I’ll write next week. Bye!
