Hello Everyone!

I’m having a great time here in Sibu. We’ve done many fun things this week. Here’s my weekly update.

Monday – Monday was a normal P-day. We got all our shopping done. We cleaned our apartment. Haha we actually didn’t do anything that exciting on Monday.

Tuesday – We had an amazing district meeting. It was so awesome. The spirit was so strong. After we went to a good noodles place which supposedly had the best noodles in Sibu. We got some noodles that weren’t on the menu, but I still think Kampua is better. I love Kampua. Too bad the only time I’ll be able to eat it is here in Sibu. We also decided to only speak in chinese all day. After that, my chinese has really been improving. We did faith finding (which is just praying about what area we want to do contacting in) that night and we found a new investigator. He’s a coworker of one the 1st counselor in our branch. I think we can definitely start teaching him and his family. He said he’s gone to church a couple of time I think. We also met with a former investigator who used to cancel on Elder South and his last companion. I’m surprised he let us in. Hopefully he’ll keep allowing us in.

Wednesday – Did a lot of contacting. We had one appointment scheduled, but he cancelled. There was also a monsoon while we were contacting. It wasn’t that bad though. We’ve been caught in worse. We sadly didn’t find any new investigators and for some weird reason, they area we went to had tons of dogs and they were constantly barking. It made it hard to talk to people and no one let us in and everyone always lies to us. Oh well.

Thursday – we met with Brother L. He’s deaf and we just helped him translate words. We just count that as service because there’s not very many chances to serve people here. People don’t like you helping them. If it’s their job they think it’s their responsibility. We also taught C. Our lesson was alright. Hopefully he’ll start coming to church and keeping his commitments. Later that night we called a taxi guy and tried to tell him how to get to our apartment.

Friday – The taxi picked us up in the morning across the street from our apartment at the Market. That’s where we do all our grocery shopping we left at 10:15 and we got to Kuching at 10:55. We got a taxi and he took us to a mall across the street from the church. We ate there and did a little bit of shopping. After we went to the church. then we had our missionary training meeting. It was awesome. I learned so much and I really felt the spirit. I took tons of notes. After we went to our hotels and dropped off our bags and then went to the mall and had pizza! It was great. It was really expensive, but really good. Then we went back to our hotel.

Saturday – In the morning we went to the airport. we ate at Mcdonalds which was alright. We flew back and did some area book work.

Sunday – Had a good Sunday.. Our meetings were good. We didn’t have any lessons that day. Even the sister that usually comes to the church that we were planning to teach didn’t come.

Alright well I’m out of time. I love you all. Remember to do missionary work!
